May we someday all be atheists.

So often our conceptions of God are impediments that obstruct God, creating a commodity or a false Other within which we can find acknowledgment. However, it is a constant denial of any divine existence that makes God present. Here God exists without agenda. The persuaded atheist describes meaninglessness as a place to construct one’s own purpose in life. Jesus’ message is not used merely to establish meaning but to persuade individuals to find meaning through serving others. In this place without meaning we can consent to such a void and it is in this brokenness that we create a space for God to reside. It is not in the mind of the convinced believer, but the unconvinced believer and the convinced unbeliever that God flourishes.
